Lawrence A. Puritz
Lawrence A. Puritz has been practicing law in northern California since 1978. During that time he has helped thousands of clients protect their legal right to fair compensation when injured by the negligent actions of another party. Before attending law school, Mr. Puritz completed his undergraduate studies at California State University, Chico, graduating with a B.A. in 1973.
Having decided to pursue a law degree, Mr. Puritz was accepted to (and attended) Western State University, School of Law. In 1978, Mr. Puritz completed law school at Western State University and was awarded his Jurist Doctorate of Law. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Puritz passed the State Bar Exam and became a licensed attorney in the state of California.
Following his admission to the bar, Mr. Puritz joined an established law firm in Chico, CA. At the time the firm was a partnership and Mr. Puritz was brought on as an associate attorney. He excelled in the associates role and was mainly assigned cases defending big insurance companies form personal injury claims. As a result of his success as a personal injury defense attorney, in 1982 Larry was offered partnership at his firm and he humbly accepted.
During his 20 year tenure with Matthews, Fuqua & Puritz, Mr. Puritz had the opportunity to represent a variety of clients, both defending claims for personal injury compensation and representing accident victims in pursuuing compensation for their injuries. In 1998, having grown weary of the insurance industry and the tactics they employed when evaluating and defending legitimate claims for personal injury compensation, Mr. Puritz decided to stop defending their interests. He decided to leave Matthews, Fuqua & Puritz to pursue his own practice where he could represent the victims of personal injury accidents exclusively.
In 1998, Mr. Puritz founded the Law Offices of Lawrence A. Puritz. His combined experience in insurance defense, combined with his experience representing personal injury victims, has allowed Mr. Puritz a unique insight into the inner workings of both sides of the personal injury claims process. That insight, and over 40 years in practice, are what make Lawrence A. Puritz the best choice to protect your rights after you've been injured in a personal injury accident.
